Position: Decarbonisation Consultant - Technical

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Decarbonisation Consultant to join our team and help our clients achieve their decarbonisation goals, with a strong focus on technical and engineering solutions.

 

Responsibilities:

As a Decarbonisation Consultant - Technical, your primary responsibility will be to help our clients develop and implement decarbonisation strategies using technical and engineering solutions. You will work closely with clients to assess their carbon footprint and identify opportunities for reducing emissions through multi-tech solutions. Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Conducting technical assessments of client operations to identify energy efficiency, heat decarbonisation, and renewable generation opportunities.

2. Developing and implementing decarbonisation strategies, including setting targets, identifying initiatives, and developing action plans that use multi-tech solutions.

3. Working closely with clients to build a strong understanding of their business operations, identify potential challenges and opportunities for decarbonisation, and develop tailored multi-tech strategies to meet their needs.

4. Providing ongoing support and guidance to clients throughout the decarbonisation process, including helping them to measure and report on their progress towards their targets.

5. Keeping up to date with the latest developments in decarbonisation technologies, policies, and regulations, and sharing this knowledge with clients.

Essential Skills:

1. A bachelor's or master's degree in a related technical or engineering field, such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or energy systems.

2. At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering successful decarbonisation projects using multi-tech solutions.

3. Strong technical and engineering skills, with the ability to assess and develop solutions for energy efficiency, heat decarbonisation, and renewable generation.

4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for decarbonisation and develop effective multi-tech strategies to achieve them.

5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and collaborate effectively with internal teams.

6. A passion for sustainability and a commitment to making a positive impact on the environment.

Desirable Skills:

1. Experience working with a variety of clients in different sectors, such as commercial, industrial, and public sector.

2. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations related to decarbonisation, such as ISO 14001, Science Based Targets, and the Paris Agreement.

3. Experience with project management tools and methodologies.

4. Experience with data analysis and modelling software, such as Excel, Python, and MATLAB.
